In the historic heart of Milan’s prestigious ‘Quadrilatero della moda’, Opus XXIII transforms what was once a small atelier into a meticulously crafted pied-à-terre. This 90-square-metre apartment by Opus Atelier walks the fine line between tradition and modernity.
起居区的卡纳莱托胡桃木壁龛内配有一张宽大的沙发，这是一个舒适的角落，让人感觉亲密而豪华，让人想起曾经在米兰国际家具展上发现的豪华展示。建筑师将实用元素隐藏在两侧对称的面板系统后面，隐藏了厨房和储物空间，同时保持了简洁的视觉线条。
The living area immediately captures attention with its canaletto walnut alcove housing a generous sofa—a cosy nook that feels intimate and luxurious, reminiscent of luxurious displays once found at Salone del Mobile. The architects have concealed practical elements behind a symmetrical system of panels on either side, hiding the kitchen and storage spaces while maintaining clean visual lines.
起居区的护壁镶板起到了双重作用，作为接入点的伪装——一个通向服务式浴室，另一个通向睡眠区。这种连续性延伸到走廊，相同的格子设计出现在墙壁和天花板上，营造出一种建筑凝聚力，引导至卧室。
The boiserie panelling in the living area does double duty as a disguise for access points—one leading to a service bathroom and another opening to the sleeping quarters. This continuity extends through the corridor, where the same coffered design appears on both walls and ceiling, creating a sense of architectural cohesion that guides toward the bedrooms.
在主卧室，定制设计的衣柜延续了该项目在树脂表面和温暖胡桃木之间的材料对话。套间浴室在洗脸盆和淋浴间中插入危地马拉大理石，提升了公寓的材料调色板，与厨房台面和搁架使用的豪华石材相呼应。专用的电影室是一个私密、更黑暗的空间，定制的壁柜面向深沙发，为电影爱好者创造了完美的休憩之所。
In the master bedroom, custom-designed wardrobes continue the project’s material dialogue between resin surfaces and warm walnut timber. The en-suite bathroom elevates the apartment’s material palette with Guatemala marble inserts in the washbasin and shower, echoing the same luxurious stone used for the kitchen countertop and shelving. The dedicated cinema room is an intimate, darker space where a bespoke wall unit faces a deep sofa, creating the perfect retreat for film enthusiasts.

Founded in 2019 by architects Maura Pinto and Piervito Pirulli, Opus Atelier approaches each project as an artwork (hence their name, meaning “work” or “opus” in Latin). Their philosophy of sculpting space and materials to create timeless atmospheres shines through in this renovation where every junction, transition, and detail has been considered with extraordinary care.
