Competitive Socializing Takes Flight in Chinawith the Opening of Lounge by Topgolf
拓高乐是世界领先的体育娱乐公司之一，以其集体育娱乐和饕餮美食为一体的互动性场馆而闻名。上海作为一个充满活力的国际化都市，是拓高乐开设第一个境内场馆的理想地点。
Topgolf is one of the world’s leading sportsentertainment companies, famous for its fun and engaging venues combiningactive entertainment and good food. With an immense appetite for the new andexciting, Shanghai was the perfect location for the first internationallocation.
餐饮社交是上海最重要的生活方式之一。拓高乐力求为上海创造真正引人入胜的餐饮体验，并将内部设计的任务委托给上海著名的室内设计工作室hcreates。作为沪上多家备受食客追崇的餐饮场所的幕后设计团队，hcreates十分清楚使这个项目成功的关键是需要把不同的元素完美地融合到同一整体空间中。
Socializing over food and drink is a huge partof living the Shanghai lifestyle. Topgolf sought to create a truly uniqueexperience for Shanghai and entrusted the task to the well-known interiordesign studio, hcreates – the team behind many of Shanghai’s belovedhospitality venues. hcreates knew the success of this project relied onbringing together all the different elements into one cohesive space.
hcreates的创始人HannahChurchill这样看待即将面临的挑战：“拓高乐拥有世界一流的交互模拟器、迷你高尔夫场地、提升的餐饮体验和私享VIP 套房。它需要一种与其文化相得益彰的设计，让首次造访的中国客户能够身临其境感知拓高乐品牌。”由于场馆选址上海市中心，hcreates从人民广场社区的艺术氛围和文化遗产瑰宝中汲取灵感，以当代方式探索中华文化媒介，将传统文化元素作为室内设计的主题——以书法的流动感，折射影响空间内的曲线形式和流线设计，将水彩画的柔和色调和纹理体现于大地系的选色上。
Hannah Churchill, the founder of hcreatesrealized the challenges that lay ahead. “From the world-class simulators andminigolf to a great food and beverage program and VIP suites, Topgolf waslooking for a design that complements its heritage while being accessible toChinese customers experiencing the brand for the first time.” As the space waslocated in the heart of Shanghai, hcreates drew inspiration from the art andheritage of the People’s Square neighborhood, by exploring Chinese mediums in acontemporary way as the driver of the interior theme. Taking inspiration fromthe flowing movement of calligraphy, which influenced the curving forms andmovement within the space. The soft colours and texture of watercolor paintingshelped direct the earthy colour palette within the space.
Loungeby拓高乐拥有2700平方米的宽敞空间，设有酒吧、餐厅、开放式包间、贵宾室和迷你高尔夫球场。每个区域都通过材料和质地的精心选择而划分，用以平衡或开放或私密的娱乐空间。客人对拓高乐的体验从一条长长的走廊开始，漆黑的走道设计让人充满期待。大型明亮的圆形艺术装置模仿高尔夫球的运动，让客人在此驻足停留社交互动。
Lounge by Topgolf is an expansive 2,700sqmspace, featuring a bar, restaurant, open suites, VIP rooms, and minigolf witheach area carefully zoned through materials and textures to create a balance ofopen and intimate entertainment spaces. The Topgolf experience begins as youtravel through a long, darkened corridor that builds anticipation as you enterthe space. Large bright, circular art installations mimic the movement of agolf ball, providing playful moments of interaction and pause.
走廊尽头的LED屏和地板花纹的方向将客人引向开放区域。首先映入眼帘的是耀眼的红色酒吧区域，弧形弯曲的墙面延伸至天花板上，以其流动的形式包裹整个空间。惬意的隔间、休息区和柔和的定制照明，让空间精致而舒适，并区别于普通的运动酒吧。
A large LED at the end and directional flooringlead you towards the action. Emerging into the open space, you are drawn to aglimmering red bar curving up the wall and ceiling, wrapping the space with itsflowing form. Not your typical sports bar.
中央枢纽的对侧是迷你高尔夫场地：大胆而诱人的色彩、光线和形式汲取自中华艺术和风景，将客人带入拓高乐的高尔夫娱乐世界。九洞高尔夫球场引人注目的设计为客人创造了大量的拍照背景。
The space is refined yet comfortablewith cosy booths, lounge areas and softened custom lighting. The minigolf fillsthe opposite side of the central hub. Taking cues from Chinese art andlandscape, an inviting palette of bold colours, light and form entices anddraws you into its world. The nine-hole golf course’s eye-catching designcreates plenty of photo moments.
酒吧和迷你高尔夫球场的中间是两个开放式包间。金属网帘为空间提供了灵活性和私密性，增加了顾客在进行多种互动游戏时的不同需求。
Centred between the bar and minigolf are thetwo open swing suites. The metal mesh curtains provides flexibility andprivacy, allowing for people to see and be seen playing the multipleinteractive games.
场地布局独特，两个娱乐区域从中央枢纽向外散开。一侧是较为安静的用餐空间，远离热闹的酒吧，为客人提供更优雅的就餐体验。厨房旁边的两张“主厨餐桌”配有定制照明，旁边红酒墙灯光柔和，上方密网装置别具匠心。
The unique shape of the space creates twoentertainment wings fanning out from the central hub. A quieter dining spaceoff the action-filled bar area allows for a more refined restaurant experience.Two “chefs tables” adjacent to the kitchen sit under a large arched mesh formwith custom lighting and a soft glowing wine wall. The main restaurant is alight-filled and bright space with hues of blue and cream plastered walls.
主餐厅光线充足，蓝色和奶油色的墙壁通透明亮。分层的密网沿着天花板的中心蜿蜒而下，编织成一个多层圆形的艺术装置。长沙发围绕着窗户的曲面摆设，配有弧形的多孔钢质灯饰，多层的设计感让穿孔钢和密网等材质在灯光的映衬下倍显柔和。
Layered mesh winds down the centre of the ceiling, weaving into a large layeredcircular piece. Banquette seating wraps around the curved windows under largearched perforated steel lamps. The layers of perforated steel and mesh playwith the light to bring softness to the material.
密网装置布局的另一侧为贵宾包间。每个包间都设有高尔夫模拟器提供多种交互球类游戏与拓高乐经典游戏，暗色的饰面和照明让房间独具情调，部分包间设有餐厅和休息区。高级贵宾包间位于空间最里侧，它集各种娱乐设备为一体，设计精致，以长长的蓝色天鹅绒沙发围绕包间，餐桌和高脚桌椅让空间用途更加完善。
The second wing of thebuilding is dedicated to VIP suites. Dark and moody, each suite features a golfsimulator, KTV, dining and lounge area. The end of the wing contains thepremium VVIP suite, the ultimate entertaining suite. A large blue velvetbanquette lounge wraps the suite simulator, with dining space and high tableleaners completing this well-designed private room.
拓高乐推崇五个核心价值观：关怀、卓越、有趣、一个团队和前卫精神。hcreates团队努力将这些价值观融入设计语言中，用它们生成设计关键词。“虽然规划这样的空间需要非常多的考量，但我们对最终成果中设计和概念的结合感到非常满意，”Hannah说。设计规划将众多功能有创造性地结合，营造了一个真正具有活力的空间，在捕捉了拓高乐的娱乐精神和价值观的同时，也为本地市场带来令人兴奋的新体育社交概念。
Topgolf has five core values – caring,excellence, fun, one team and edgy spirit. The hcreates team worked tointegrate them into the design language and use them to generate the design keywords. “Whilst planning a space like this requires a lot of considerations, weare really happy with how the design and concept marry together well”, saidHannah. The planning of the space has brought together the many spatialfunctions with a creative concept, creating a space with real energy thatcaptures the entertaining spirit and values of Topgolf whilst bringing anexciting new socializing concept to the local market.

HannahChurchill来自新西兰南岛，作为一位室内设计师，她对一切创新的东西都充满了激情。从惠灵顿维多利亚大学建筑系毕业后，Hannah在新西兰一家著名建筑公司开始了自己的工作生涯。2009年她来到上海，在扩展视野的同时，很快开始独立承接项目，于2010年创立hcreates。热爱旅行的她常常会在不同的文化和社群中找到新的设计灵感。在中国的十年里，Hannah设计完成了上百个项目，其中包含了一些颇具影响力的餐厅和酒吧。如今，她带领hcreates团队继续在办公、健身房、瑜伽馆和医疗中心等生活方式空间的领域中探索。
